I'll take a look through my material but I thought you would like to know your timing is impeccable as I will be reviewing the Wigan 1851 census tonight, so will take a look for Farnworths as well.

Laithwaite is becoming a bit of a tenuous name as it was John Laithwaite (born Apr 1800) who was the husband of a sister to a direct ancestor. He came from Upholland which was a few miles west of Wigan, and his family were mine owners or shopkeepers in the area and his father was William Laithwaite born about 1756.
