It appears you may be from this family:
John Laird and Mary Snodgrass Laird emmigrated from Donegal, Ireland circa 1799. John Laird came over first with sons Jesse and John. Then son Alexander, daughter Sarah, and Mary came over. Two other sons, James and Robert came over about 1801.
James, son of John, married Margaret Snodgrass. They had several children, including Samuel, John, James, and Nancy.
Their son James married a woman named Matilda.
James, son James, and his sister Nancy were deaf.
There is a possibility I am descended from James and Margaret Laird's son Samuel. He was born in 1804, as was my gggggrandfather Samuel. There are other reasons I'll send you privately. Email me at [email protected].
