Have tried to send you a personal msg, but no reply as yet, so thought I'd just add a posting to yours, in the hope you'd get my msg via this site instead.
Anyway, I'd love to hear a little more about your John Franklin's roots in Ireland? I have extensive Laird records from Co.Antrim, N.Ireland and do have a John Franklin Laird, son of Alexander Laird and Margaret or Mary Frankland. I was wondering if perhaps this was your line? Either way, love to hear from you about your lairds.
