Warren C Laird/Lard b. 1812 SC SC>GA>AR
I'm trying to find out who the parents were for Warren Laird who was born in 1812 in SC.There's a James Laird
who won land in the 1832 Gold Lottery in GA.Is this his father? The Lairds/Lards are there in 1840 in Cass county where Warren
married Rhoda B. Kelly...parents unknown???.There's also two other marriages in 1840s listed in the county for
possibly his brothers, Turner and Arthur, who married Powell sisters. In 1850, the family is in Gordon County censusrecords with the following children:Marmaduke, Matthew, Squire, Mary Ann (a.k.a. Polly Annnie), Sarah C., Rhoda Elizabeth and Arthur. In 1857, the family is in Floyd County, GA.In the fall of 1857, the two older daughters marry in Huntville, Madison, AL.By 1860, the Warren Laird family has relocated to Arkansas where they lived, raised their family and lost three sons in the Civil War.Two of their daughters marry ESTES brothers , 1857, (our line of ESTES/LAIRD) and one daughter married Thomas Henry Garner and her only brother left after the war was Marmaduke Stephenson Laird who married Thomas's sister, Nancy Elizabeth Garner. The Garners moved from TN to settle in AR.Would like to hear from Marmaduke's family or any of Warren's brothers' family and knows the
parents names...thanks.CG
