It's been awhile since I worked this line. According to the 1840 census of Harrison Twp Ohio Benjamin Laire had listed for family members:

The oldest girl would have been Amanda Lare, then Phebe, Mary, Unnamed child buried near the Ohio River. So I think that you have helped me out considerably with this letter from Richard H Laire dated 17 Aug 1845 telling of his wife dieing.
