Hello Folks:We're still looking for info on Mary Annas (aka Marie Estnesse on one of her childrens baptismals in St. Polycarpe, Que)Would like to know the names of Indian Villages in the vacinity of St. Polycarpe?John Lahay is on the 1851 census, along with his widowed mother, his brothers and their families in St. Polycarpe.John & Mary were supposed to have been married in 1852??? I've copied from info from others on the Net.Would John have traveled very far to get his bride? After Mary died, John married his school sweatheart from St. Polycarpe.Re: name changes, we are from the same family but ---Lehay.
Also, we are looking for Louis Lahay's second family.Around 1946, my father Louis was living on a Island in Lake Nippissing with a Indian Lady and their children.Louis had left his B.C. Family and joined the Canadian Army. A relative from S. Carolina has phoned us and said he knew me as a kid when they used to visitus on the Island in the summers. (I'd never been out of B.C.) His mother was Louis' sister and he named brothers, etc. We'd just like to chat with this second family.
