I am from Jacksonville Illinois. My father was Danny Lahey and my grandfather was Leo Lahey. I believe Thomas Lahey was my grandfathers grandfather. My father has passed away. I may be able to provide some information. I live in Jacksonville Illinois. I was very close to my grandfather and he told me namy stories of his life (he died at the age of 97). I am sorry to say that a lot of the details I have forgotten. I would be glad to assist you in any way I can.
I know my granfathers grandfather came over from Kilkenny and lived to a very old age (I saw the news clipping of his death when I was a teenager !!). His son (my grandfathers father) also lived to a very old age ( I believe in his mid nineties).
My father Dan Lahey was born in 1928. I was born 11/16/1964.
I will find more details for you if you wish. I do not always check my E-mail so please do not be discouraged if I do not reply quickly.
