Thank you so much! The only info I had was names, and apparently even that was wrong. Felix Ferdinand La Haie, son to Jeremie, moved to South Dakota with his wife, Margaret Bertrond. They then moved to Oregon via covered wagon. My great-grandfather was 3 when they made the trip and thier last child was born on route. They camped for the winter in Eastern Oregon in a beet field while they saved the money for what was then a toll pass to the Willamette Valley. Felix was a woodworker and made coffins. They settled in the western Willamette Valley and most of the next 4 generations are within 50 miles of where they originally settled. In addition, Adelord La Haie, another Jeremie son, also came west with Felix. There may have been other brother's also, I'm not sure. Any info you have on Jeremie or marcella's anscestry would be greatly appreciated as we had hit a dead end! I will also e-mail you privately. Again, thanks so much for your help! Stephanie
