You ask the relationship, and I can only say that it is believed that we descend from Victoria Laforas/Laforrest and Peter Beauchamp, the brother of Charles. It is possible that they married sisters or cousins, but I have found no evidence of marriage--nor Victoria's name on any birth record. It has been reported that her name is listed on Paschel's baptismal record, but I have not seen it. I had not put Paschel with the other siblings and supposedly he was born later, but with no record of what happened to him.If Victoria was the 1st wife of Peter, their children were Rosanna, Marguerite, Teresa (Tracy) and Paschel.Tracy Beauchamp/Boshaw was my g-grandmother.
Charles Beauchamp m. Mary Laforra in 1853.Beauchamp records say she was born 18 Apr 1834 in Canada and died 3 May 1917 in Arcadia, Lapeer Co, MI.Their children included Henry, Andrew, Lawrence, Sarah, Robert, Mary Frances, John and Bella; possibly also Penny and Ida. One researcher has these children born Parkhill, Ontario, Canada--but Charles and Mary are found in the 1860 and 1870 censuses in Michigan.
You can see I still have work to do on the Beauchamp line, and was hoping to go "back door" with the LaForras, Laforest line.Maybe cousins...Jan
