This may be a son of Thomas Jefferson La Force--son of Rene and Mary Ellis. TJ was born ca 1816 and was one of the sons listed by Femester in his research. I had found him on a Census index for Texas 1880 but don't remember what county.
William Luke La Force was in Upshur and Montague(?) Counties. I think Wise was created from one or both of these counties.
