David was born about April 19, 1850. I don't assume that the date (or year) is accurate, but approximate. He married Octavia/Octavie Chamberlain. His parents were French-Canadian, and others have said he might have been born in Canada instead of Vermont. He moved to Lisbon Falls, Maine about 1887 and he married Octavia Chamberlain about 1888, but I don't know if he married her in Canada or Maine. She was English-Canadian. They had three children: David, Albert Jay, and Rose Amy (Emmie in one census).
I suspect David grew up in Canada, but I don't know where.
