Searching for La Fontaine family that gave up my father for adoption in Central Madison, Herkimer, counties Ny state.
He was adopted by Fredrick Havener + Ada Hyde in 1915.
His name changed to Donald William Havener
bn March 18, 1913
Wish we knew any one who has given up my dad.
He was raised in Verona, Ny. His parents seperated or one died ????
He was raised by the adopted father for a few yrs before he remarried Hilda. They had 10 children.
No one is looking for any $$$$ or rights.
Just want family medical or genealogy.

Anyone who might know how adoptions were done in ny would help in 1900-1930's
They say an uncle took this child to an orphan home run by nuns. a Catholic home. ?
Would like to know if any other siblings were adopted too.
