Call it a fairy tale or not, I do not believe that the records that I have personally sifted through in Jay and Grant County Indiana are worth much at all.Especially the early census that had been tainted with the threat of Indian Removal. You might indeed have the real last name of La Follette--you might even be a real La Follette. But I most certainly doubt your relationship to me being that of my line, in my generation, only my two cousins in Canada, my brother in Arkansas, and my own self in Texas are left.My family has always lived along the Wabash in the Town of Portland.
Your name has been useful to us.But I am suspicious that that is all it is.
