In 1764, Lunenburg County, VA Nathaniel Laffoon was appointed a constable. This is found in Order Book 9, p 328. Does anyone know how long this appointment lasted? Has anyone found Nathaniel in the order books listed as a jury member or suveying roads? Was he a signer of an oath of fidelity or allegiance to VA? Thanks!
