I have some information on a George Laffoon.
born 1806 in Brunswick County VA, died 6 Oct 1838 in Clay County, MO. He married Mahala Averett d/o Zachariah Averett and Mary W. (Tindall) Averett 28 Sep 1828 in Clay County, MO. Georges' parents were James and Elizabeth E. (Burks) Laffoon. George and Mahala had the following children:
Elizabeth Ann Burks (Mrs. William Means) b: 16 Jul 1829 DeKalb County, MO
d: 10 Aug 1910 DeKalb County, MO
James Madison (Nancy A. Howell) b: 1831 DeKalb Co., MO
Zachariah (Sarah Reams) b: 1834
Preston Parker (Almiranda Carrol) b: 1835 Clay Co., MO
d: 19 Sep 1908 Kearney Clay County MO
Sarah Frances (John Garret Green) b: 1837 DeKalb Co., MO
