I am seeking help with my Martin Hawks, I think he maybe the son of William Hawks and Rebecca Laffon Hawks. I know he was in Hopkins Co. KY in 1840 and 1850 I found him on a census there. I can't find him before 1840 and I can't find him after 1850. He lived in district 2 in Hopkins County, KY; there were Laffoon's living in district 1 of Hopkins County, KY in 1830, 1840 and 1850. Martin was born abt. 1796, he married (second marriage I think) Elizabeth Penner on Oct. 15, 1834. They had two children that I am aware of William T. Hawks abt. 1840, and Martin Hawks abt. 1843. There are two additional females in the house with them on the 1850 census Elizabeth Hawks age 26 and Mary A. Hawks age 24. I think these may be daughters of Martin's by a previous marriage. I think my Martin maybe the same Martin that was married to Ann Dobson. Any help?
