John Laffy (Laffey) and Margaret Mee arrived separately from Ireland at the Port of Boston aboard the S.S. Phoenician 5/13/1881 and S.S. Tarifa 5/2/1881 respectively. They subsequently married and established a home in NYC where John worked for the city as an ash collector. Children of this marriage were Patrick (1893), Margaret (1895 abt.), Luke (1897 abt.), John (1899 abt.), Thomas (1901) and Helen (1910 abt.) John Sr. is thought to have died about 1930 and Margaret about 1940. Nothing is known of their parentage or backgrounds in Ireland nor is anything known of descendants other than the line descending from Thomas (1901). We are looking for any information at all re John and Margaret or descendants and would appreciate hearing from anyone wishing to share.
