Howdy Cousin!
I'm descended from Eli's brother Andrew LaFever (1774-1847) who married Nancy Ard. Eli's wife was Mary Steele, daughter of my 4th great-grandfather John Steele, so you and I are kin through the Steele family as well (In fact, Andrew LaFever Jr. married Celia Steele, who's probably Mary LaFever's sister).
I'd like to get some more info on the families of Zachariah LaFevers and Eli LaFevers. Eli's son Abraham LaFever married a Burton, who's parents were Henry Burton and Mary Williams (again, they're in my direct ancestry. Henry's daughter Nancy married William Bozarth, and their daughter Mary Jane Bozarth was the wife of James Steele, son of William Steele and Sissy McDole. James was the NEPHEW of Eli's daughter-in-law Mary (Steele) LaFever. It gets "curioser and curioser", as Alice would say, from there....:-D
Keep in touch as I have REEMS of material on these folks!
A good person to talk to about LaFever pottery in Tommy Webb, DeKalb County historian. He's got a bunch of it at his house!
