Hello,
I'm also related to the LaFevers in Silver Point, TN.
My G Grandfather, Luther Race Puckett (22 Sep 1867-27 Oct 1900), married Mary F. LaFever (born about 1871). Their son, my grandfather, Luther Green (L.G.) Puckett, lived in Smithville, TN most of his life. Recall visiting Mary LaFever's house in Silver Point as a young kid.
Info I have indicates Mary's parents John LaFever (1840-1889) and Virginia (Jeny) Ann Lane (1843-?). John supposedly buried in Goff Cemetery, DeKalb Co., TN.
Info I've found in www.familysearch.org indicates Virginia's line can be traced back to Henry I, King of England, via both his wives and a concubine...talk about interfamily connections.
John's parents Eli LaFever (1803-10 Sep 1886) and Mary "Polly" Steele (1809-18 Nov 1889), both supposedly buried in Pedego Cemetery, Doak Hill, TN.
Eli's parents Andrew G. LaFever (1774-about 1848) and Nancy Ard (about 1778-1845), both supposedly buried in Perkins Cemetery, Putnam Co., TN.
Have got some more LaFever family history that would be willing to share. Would welcome any info/leads on line I mentioned.
Max
(raised in Livingston, TN, now in Fairfax, VA
