Hi,
I'm afraid I can't answer the first part of your question but I got caught up on your explanation of our French Canadian dialects or as we say 'nos accent du pays'. Patois is regretably rarely heard anymore, even in our distant regions. It was very sweet to heard our grandmothers use the old expressions like'temp-pi', et 'c'est-pas-peu-pres'
If Angeline was pronounced An-joline with the accent being on the 'jo', then this is a very specific region of Quebec. In the majority of Quebec, it would be pronounced (phonetical) An-jay-line and the stress could be either on the 'An' or 'jay' pending the region. There are only one or two regions I can think of where the An would be barely spoken. You may want to try either Trois-Rivieres or Beauce region.
Hope this helps,Carol
