Actually there is an idiosyncracy about the children of Norbert and Julie. Norbert the son was born in St-Jean de Matha , he claimed in the 1900 US Census to have emigrated in 1870. However Theophile, who was born in 1867 in St-Jean de Matha, claims to have been born in New York and to be a natural born US citizen which seems to be in conflict with the record of birth in St-Jean de Matha. Eugenie, my great-grandmother, (evidently the second Eugenie, since the first one died) is listed in the 1910 US Census as being born in Massachusetts in 1870, and this seems to agree with the time of emigration of Norbert, however the younger brother Joseph was born back in Canada in 1873. Maybe Norbert Sr amd Julie were traveling back and forth ?? Seems strange....
