Thanks for all your info, but I suspect that "your" Theophile may be a different Theophile than "mine". I received a response from someone who researched the following: Ovida Tessier, wife of Joseph Laferrière died 8-9-1939, burial 11-9-1939, St-Felix de Valois, (age: 62a. 11m 23j.) (Joseph Laferrière) witness Joseph Laferrière, husband of the late Ovilda Tessier died 2-6-1950, Ste-Elisabeth, burial 5-6-1950, St-Felix de Valois, (age:77a 3m 17j ) (Arthur St-George, Narcisse Laferrière & Raoul Laforet) witnesses Eugenie Laferrière, dau. of Norbert (day laborer) & Julie Jubinville died 28-9-1865, burial 30-9-1865, St-Jean de Matha, (age: 3a) (Joseph & Onesime Marcil) witnesses Note: I did not find her date of birth in St-Jean de Matha. The following are children of Norbert (farmer)& Julie, all born in St-Jean de Matha. Joseph, born 7-2-1873,baptized 8-2-1873 (Jean-Marie Desroches & Elizabeth Savignac, his wife) god-parents Mathilda, born 30-12 1868, bapt. 1-1-1869 (Narcisse Clairmont son of Narcisse & Victoire Jubinville daughter of Ambroise) god-parents. Norbert, born 25-1-1866, bapt. 30-1-1866 (Basile Latour-Forget & Constance Jubinville) god-parents Theophile-Alexandre, born 7-21, bapt. 22-7-1867 (Narcisse Clairmont & Elizabeth St-Martin ) god-parents. There were a few Laferriere families in Lowell about that time. If you haven't found it yet, my favorite Lowell genealogy site is here: http://library.uml.edu/clh/Vital.Html Good Luck in your search !! Rick Notify Administrator about this message?
