Rick,

I am Jennifer Laferriere's cousin on the Boudreau side. Her grandmother Edna Boudreau married in Newport, RI in 1931 to a Theophile Laferriere, and the record gave a Norbert and Angelina ...[no maiden name] as his parents, but I believe these may have been Theophile's grandparents who raised him, if our family stories are correct. Edna was born on the Magdalen Islands in Quebec in 1899 and died in 1940 here in Centredale (North Providence), RI. There may be a connection to you in that I have often seen the name Julie interchanged with Angeline and Angelique and Judith. I will try to find the ancestors of the Laferrieres for you; and yes, the whole family name is "Aurez dit Laferriere". I believe our Theophile was from Warren, RI, but who knows where before that.
