Hi Adrienne,

Thanks for your replu and for your advice. Unfortunately, "my" Wilfrid Laferriere (b: 04/17/1900 in Woonsocket, RI)was the son of Joseph Laferriere and of Rose-Anna Lemay.

As far as my question on Dora Godon, I found new elements since I posted my message. In some records she is listed sometimes Dora Godin, some other times as Dora Godon and also as Dora Vallee. I just found that in her marriage record with Wilfrid Laferriere, there is the mention "Dora Godin, widow Vallee".

I also found that Dora's mother passed away when Dora was about 1 year old. Dora was then adopted by her godfather, Alex Vallee, married to Delina Godon. Was Dora's first husband related to Alex? Probably but I don't know yet for sure.

Anyhow, this is where I am. Thanks for your comments.
