Seeking information about the roster of soldiers who came with Gen. Lafayette to fight in the American Revolution.
My family story is that our earliest American ancestor came from France with Lafayette to fight in the revolution. He may have been in South Carolina, but he settled in North Carolina. His son, Thomas CHAVIS, was born in 1800.
Other family stories have proven true. I have not been able to corroborate this one however. Can anyone help?
