My maternal grandfather was Alcide Lafayette. He married Hellen Trascovski, not sure of the spelling of that name. They had three daughters. Dorothy (my mother), Joan, and Elizabeth. I know nothing of his parents. My mother told me her great grandfather lived on a reservation in Canada and we were related to General Lafayette somehow. Any info would be great.
