Marquis de Lafayette in Lexington, MA

I own a house built by Captain Christopher Reed in the late 1600's in Lexington, MA. It is one the route the Paul Revere traveled to Lexington, and legend has it that when General Lafayette came back to the US and to Massachusetts in May/June 1825, he slept in my home on one of the nights he was in Lexington.

I'm trying to verify if in fact he did sleep in Lexington on one of the evenings of his trip. Does anyone have any knowledge of this, or any suggestion about how I might research this?

Thanks,

Dennis O'Connor
