Recently I received information from my father regarding our family history. Family stories say we are related to the Marquis de La Fayette but I have not seen traceable evidence of such. My great-gandfather was David LaFayette of Lincoln, VT (b. 1865); his father was Israel LaFayette (b. Nov 27, 1840 in France, d. Sept 7, 1929); he was married to Selina (Celina) Nicklaw. If anyone has any information on Israel and Selina or their ancestors, I would very much like to have access to is. Thank you.
