I am searching for information on my G Grandmother Mary Jane Lady born ca 1870 and according to University of Kentucky Death Index Records died in Jessamine County, KY July 15, 1945(Mary J. Lady Underwood). Mary married Joel Stamper of Owsley County, KY. They had a child James Edward "John" Stamper. They had a daughter while living at SandGap, Jackson Co. KY, Emily Stamper born 1890 ( my Grandmother who was married to Robert Owen Fraley of Lee Co. KY in 1910). After Mary and Joel divorced Mary remarried G. Franklin Underwood ca. 1901. They had a daughter Rhoda Underwood born ca. 1903. They had a son born Thomas (Tommy) Underwood ca. 1906. They moved to HighBridge, KY. I don't know who her parents were, where she came from, or what happened to these two Underwood children. I don't even know where she is buried. It was told through the Family that Mary was a full blooded Cherokee. Any Help ?
