It's probably not the same family , but my Grandfather was named August H. Ladwig-born in Prussia-emigrated to U.S. landing at Port Baltimore May,1872. Married Maria (?). Eventually settled in Oshkosh, WI. Had 3 sons Otto (my dad), William, and Arthur (died at 5 mos) and daughter Florence. An amazing coincidence in many ways don't you agree?
