Barbara, Patricia and Maly, I realize your note is over a year old, but hopefully you are still researching and this may help. Actually, your family lines may be related as Cornelius was born in Fishkill, Dutchess Co., but moved to Sweden, Monroe Co. (which is up on Lake Erie) in adulthood. Also note that this is not a French-Canadian family as I believe Patricia inferred, but they descend from French Huguenots who settled New Rochelle, NY. Barbara, thanks for printing the Bible information; they are always one of the best family sources, and added information to that area of my research. Now I think I can help you put it in context. Here is Cornelius' lineage: 1. Mathew Ladue - 1604 Le Mans, France 2. Pierre Ladue - 1630 Le Mans, France 3. Pierre Ladue - 1662 Le Mans, France m. Martha Anneraud; French Huguenots who fled France, probably via Bristol or London, England to New Rochelle, NY 4. Daniel Ladue - 1695, France m. Mary Canby in 1718, Mt. Pleasant, NY 5. Peter Ladue - 1721, Mt. Pleasant, NY m. Anne Hannah Tompkins in 1745 at Fishkill, Dutchess Co. 6. William Ladue - 30 Mar 1759, Fishkill m. Elizabeth Swartwout Abt 1783 in Fishkill 7. Rev. Samuel Ladue - 11 Sep 1785, Fishkill m. Mary Polly Cary Abt 1806 in Fishkill While Rev. Samuel and his wife remained in Fishkill, many of their children emigrated to Monroe Co. and environs up on Lake Erie in northwest NY. 8. Cornelius - second eldest born 11 Sep 1810 m. Marie Margaret ____ In 1850-60 they were living in Sweden, Monroe Co. a. Mary L. - 1837 b. Henry A. - 1839; m. Mary F. Cummings c. Mahala - 1840 d. Arcelia - 1845 e. Jasper - 1850 This is all I have; I would assume your Bible dates/spellings to be the more accurate. I would assume the 1860's births are grandchildren, as my info indicated that Henry and Mary had a daughter Marta b. Abt 1862. Adelle might be their second daughter.
