LaDue in Civil War

In 2000, my son Rob and I were visiting Pamplin Historical Park near Petersburg, VA. The following poster (a reproduction, no doubt) was in their museum:

"$1000 BOUNTY!
Authority has been obtained to raise several companies of volunteers, for two years service in Herkimer County, to be applied to the present quota. Head Quarters in the Armory, over O.LaDue & Bros. Store, Graysville, Herkimer County, N.Y.
To all volunteers to fill the quota of the Town of Norway, the following bounty will be paid:
$200 U.S. Bounty
$300 County do
$500 Private do
Wm. LaDue will superintend the volunteering of said companies.
P.S. Recruits from the several towns in this county, joining the above companies, will be credited in their respective towns. The companies will leave the county together, when full.

Wm. LaDue"

No date is given for this poster, however, these type of bounties were common as the Civil War dragged into its third and fourth year. Our family had a number of ancestors in the Herkimer area. There is no Graysville that
I can find, but a Gravesville is in Herkimer County. There was a William LaDue alive at that time, and an Otto, who had brothers that might have been in a store venture, as
well.

Any thoughts or comments would be welcome.

Stephen Edgar LaDue
