Thank you! I have emailed you privately but thought I would add my findings from the last few months. The Ladue family I am researching is from Nelsonville, NY in Putnam County. William Ladue Sr served for 27 in vesper services at St Mary's Episcopal Church in ColdSpring, NY. He owned a mill and built several houses and important buildings at Garrisons. He held a place in the Assembly in 1891. He was a member of the Old Homestead Club, the fire Company, and the Order of the Masons, Board of Water COmmissioners, and a trustee of the National Bank of Cold Spring. He was born in Cold Spring 12/29/1843 and died 8/22/1903. I am still searching for his wife and his mother's names.
I understand there are several Ladues still in the area. I had been in contact with the Fire Dept in the area but after telling me there were still Ladues in the area, he hasn't answered my emails.
Putname County Historical Society was able to send my a photocopy from a book where William Ladue is in a chapter and that is where I got my information from.
Any more help is greatly apppreciate.
Thank you,
Dana Balsamo
