I am researching my MARCHANT family in South Carolina back in the late 1700's and early 1800's. I found a marriage record where Eli LADSON married Diane MARCHANT on March 19, 1818 in South Carolina (not sure which county). Don't know any other info about this union, just trying to figure out how Diane and Eli fit in. Thanks, Patti
