This is in response to Bill Ladson. Did you ever find out any information on my Henry Ladson and Louise (Pepper) who are my gggrandparents from Pendleton S.C. Their daughter, Corrie Ladson married John W. Higdon. They are my ggrandparents on my grandmother's side. Her name was Elvira (Higdon) Mays. I understand that there were a lot of Ladson family members living in the Washington D.C. area. Perhaps you may have that information. I listed the children before but I will again: John Henry, Corrie, Harriett, Lenah, Ola, Drayton, a set of twins who died at birth, Clinton, Manuel, Frank, Ella and Julia Ladson. They are listed on the 1870-1880 census. The Ladsons married into the Mayes-Mays family of Greenville S.C.
