I am looking for the whereabout of Ellen Ladd who may have been born ca. 1858 in or near one of the previously mentioned counties. She married William Winston Eads ca. 1878, one record says 1868, but William is still with his family at that time. I have found a William Eads 33, Ellen 22, and Pearl 1 in the 1880 Lincoln Co., Tenn. census. They are known to have had two children before Ellen died, Lena Pearl Eads and Sue Ellen Eads, who died in infancy. Lena Pearl married Thomas Hall Wortham.
Some of this information was found at Ancestry.com and lists Pearl as a "sister." To whom I do not know. Perhaps a mistake and Ellen is not listed as William's wife, but "Other than a direct relationship."
Anyone have information on this family?
