Marriage record of my ggg grdparents, Benjamin F. Wilkes and Elizabeth Lacy, 24 January 1826, Mecklenburg Co, Virginia has a note "B--Shadrach Lacy" which I assume is Bond, and this may be a brother or father or other kinsman.
A search for a Shadrach has proved futile, but in 1830 there is a Shedrich Lacy listed on the 1830 census for Chesterfield Co, VA.
Can anyone point me to any clues here??? Most appreciated.
Looking for Elizabeth's parents. Wilkes family in New Kent, Charlotte, Lunenberg Counties...
