It was quite common for the French, being very Roman Catholic, to name all the girls Marie [the boys Joseph] and then they were known by their middle names.
Francois Lacroix and Catherine Chapdelaine had other daughters.
Elisabeth married in Southbridge, Mass in 1878 Joseph Chapdelaine.
Julia married 1889 in CT Albert Leduc.
Malvina married 1893 in CT George Desautels.

In the 1900 Census, your Marie is listed as Clara.
