Looks like William Parsons is already in CT 1880. Are you certain your William and Clara married in MA? I think CT is a good possibility. I saw a William Parsons in Adams, MA, but I don't think he is the one who married Clara. Here is the 1880 census.

This census has William Jr born in CT, but in 1860 his family is in Pittsfield, MA and he is shown as born in MA (which agrees with the 1900 census info). I believe this is the same William because in 1900 William and Clara have his father William living with them. William Sr in 1900 is shown as born Dec 1831 in CT. With this maybe you can find the marriage of William and Clara in Connecticut. They were married 28 yrs according to the 1900 census so depending on the time of year they married it must have been 1881 or 1882. I looked at both the Marie Lacroixs in Southbridge. One was born in June 1866 and the other in July 1867. I don't think either one is yours. Your Clara is shown on the 1900 census as what looks like "Aug" for a birth month. The MA vitals index is not complete. There are many towns especially in western MA that are not included. Also, not every record was recorded. I think your best bet is to find the marriage and hopefully it will have her parents names. Do you already have her death record and obit? Sometimes they can have clues. It's hard to find French families on the census. Their names were often butchered.
