I read with interest the messages posted between you and Jean-Paul Hubert. I am a direct descendant of Jean Baptiste Hubert dit LaCroix and Catherine Aubuchon through their daughter, Julie. I have the following children for Jean Baptiste and Catherine:
1. Francois LaCroix - b.?; m. Francoise Godaire, daughter of Toussaint Godaire and Barbe Chapart; d. aft. 18 Nov 1844; this couple had 9 children.
2. Louis LaCroix - b.?; m.?; d.?; had a child, Louis, b. 28 Mar 1815 in St. Charles Cnty., MO, who was baptized "under condition". The child was probably illegitimate as the mother, Therese Proulx, was married to Basile Proulx at the time of Louis' birth.
3. Julie LaCroix - b. bet. 1774-1776; m. Charles Hebert 11 Sep 1792 son of Charles Hebert and Ursule Forest; d. aft. 1 June 1840; this couple had 11 children.
4. Jeanne LaCroix - b. 2 June 1778 St. Louis Dist. Upper Louisiana Territory; m.?; d.?.
5. Susanne LaCroix - b. 1 Feb 1780 St. Louis Dist. Upper Louisiana Territory; m. Joseph Papin 23 Feb 1797; d.?; this couple had 8 children.
6. Jean Baptiste LaCroix - b. bef. Jan 1782 as marriage record has him as a minor child (17 or younger) on 8 Jan 1799 when he married Marguerite Godaire. Marguerite was the daughter of Toussaint Godaire (deceased) and Barbe Chapart. In many church records Marguerite's maiden was given as Jourdain, the surname of her stepfather, Francois Jourdain. St. Francis Church of Portage des Sioux, MO has a Baptiste LaCroix buried on 19 Oct 1836, age 58; this couple had 4 children.
7. Catherine LaCroix - b. 9 Dec 1787; m.?; d.?. The source on this individual is weak, but I've included her just in case.
8. Pierre LaCroix - b. bef. Aug 1793 as marrige record stated that he was of majority age (18 and older) and native of Cahokia, Dist. of Illinois; m. Marie Royer dit Collat 23 Aug 1811 St. Charles Dist. Upper Louisiana Territory; Marie was the daughter of Nicolas Collat and Francoise LeDuc; d. ?; this couple had 2 children.
