My grandfather's grandparents were granchildren of Cyprien LaCour and Genevieve Joffrion (yes, both of them). Cyprien is the son of Nicholas "Colin" LaCour. I have quite a bit of information from Antoine LaCour and Francoise Duclos. You may wish to consult the following references: An Atlas of Louisiana Surnames of French and Spanish Origins by Robert West; One Hundred Years on Bayou Des Glaises, A Parish History of Sacred Heart Church; the sacramental records of the New Orleans and Baton Rouge dioceses; the Brides Books of Avoyelles Parish, Vols. 1,2,& 3. These are among the better and more accurate sources and should be available in most Louisiana libraries with a good genealogy section. I've found these sources in Ft. Worth library also. If you need something specific, let me know.
