Looking for family of grt grt Grandmother,
Mary Ann Adgedent m. 1stJohn Walker, 2nd gg Grandfather, Increase Claflin.
Mary Ann born 1801, Boston.
From Obit: Mary Ann was the daughter of Samuel LeCount and Jerusha Adgedent of Exeter, Rockingham Co, NH and sister to John, Samuel and George. When quite small, she left home and went to live with her Aunt Polly Adgedent. At the age of 14 she married John Walker, a bugler in the army. He died and she married Increase Claflin, he then holding a position as steward in the army. Her last wish was that if any of her brothers or relatives were living, and should hear of her death, they should write to her son, William Claflin and daughter, Mrs. Robert Stevenson of Little Sturgeon, Door Co. Wisc. Those who enjoyed an acquaintance with Mary Ann could not help but be struck with her gentleness of manner. She had the faculty of winning friends and holding them to the last.
Increase and Mary Ann settled in Wisc. at Little Sturgeon, it is apparent she never had contact with her family since moving west.
