Hi Lois,
If you search Trefley at the Laclair surname board at Familyhistory.com I believe you will find some useful information.

My grandfather's uncle was Samuel Trefley Degreenia, b. 1883, in Sheffield, Caledonia, VT. Samuel's mother was Zoa Laclare, b. 1849, Glover, Orleans, VT. Her father was Charles Laclair, b. abt 1811, in Canada. Charles had many children.
