I can't be 100% positive, but I believe that Alice Humbolt is probably Alice F. E. Lackey, born Mar 1887, in Mo, to Augustus Lackey and Nancy Marrell.
If you look in the 1900 census you will find Alice F E Lackey. Then in the 1930 Federal census you find Alice F Humbolt married to Will H. Humbolt, and in the 1915 Kansas census you find Alice E Humbolt married to Will H. Humbolt.
The Kansas census shows her born in Kirksville Mo, so I believe the federal census entry (which has mo. scratched ot and Penn written in) that shows her from Penn to be in error. I believe her father was from Penn. The approximate dates of birth (the 1900 census gives the month and year) in the 1920 and 30 census show 1888, which is the info you had, but when you try looking at the age reported, which depends on when in the census year the census was taken, it is probable that Alice Humbolt was
born in 1887 rather than 1888, which is another indication that it is probably Alice F E Lackey.
Again, I can't tie Alice F.E Lackey directly to Alice E. Humbolt any better than that, but that is where I would start if I were you.
