Oliver Lachance - French Canadian living in Detroit 1880

I'm looking for information on the LaChance family of Detroit. The family of Oliver LaChance and Catherin Myron shows up in the 1880 Census in Deroit. Oliver was born in Canada about 1827, Catherin in 1832 (also in Canada). Their children were John S. George (my great-grandfather) Hattie, Elmira, and Mary A. The census indicates that all of the children were born in New York between 1861 and 1870. I've had no luck finding this family in New York.
