Sarah,
1952 is a little early to have been my brother's child with Jeannette. Their first one was born in '55 or '56. My oldest son was born in 1953 and think theirs was born after that. Unless there was some child born we never knew about which seems almost an impossibility in a town this size. As far as I know, my brother (other than my father) was the only Napoleon LaChance in Norway which is a town of about 4500. I've been trying to think of all explanations as Napoleon is such an unusual name. Has she checked the Norway birth records? It seems my brother was in San Diego in 1952 and 53 when he was in the Marines.
This has really caught my interest and I'll have to look further. I believe everyone has a right to know who their parents are and will do what I can to help you straighten this out.
I do have some old snapshots of Mickie... He died January 6, 1961. I have no idea where Jeannette is....
Jo
