I know that Laura Jane LaChance from Mine La Motte married James Andrew Lachance from Mine La Motte in 1888. hear is the twist Laura had a son in 1886 named Joe labort father Joseph Labort. I have the birth certificate of Joe. What I would like to know is, were they married at one time or was this an oops that no one wants to mention or, does any one have any records of James adopting him, or does any one have records of a name change or, is this the first time any one knows of this. For Joe is my great grand father. thanks any help would be a great benifet
