I'm trying to trace family roots back before Joseph LaCaille. I believe he was born April 6, 1849 at sea from France to Quebec. I have not been able to identify his parents or his origins in France. Family lore has it his parents were leaving France to escape the guillotine. Joseph married Ida Beaudry and they later left Canada to live in North Dakota and raise their many children.
