After doing a bit more digging, I think the Sam LaBrake I am looking for was called "Sammy" - he was a hired hand and the widow he would have married would have either been Alice Therrien Somers/Saumier OR Rose Alma Chretian Saumier. Again, Sammy would have probably been born around the 1890's. Anyone have any ideas?
