Hi, Kristen. My name is Gloria (Askey) Kerns. My mother was Dora Lee (Smith) Laboon and Wade Hampton Laboon was her uncle (my great-uncle). Van Lawhorn Laboon was my Ggrandfather (mama's grandfather). I never knew Van or his daughter Maggie (my grandmother), but I did know Uncle Hamp. We used to drive up to Chickasha about once a month and spend Sunday afternoon with him and whoever else was there that day (usually Ellen Dee and Gene Huntley, who took care of him). There are still some of his children living, but not many. I'm sure Rosamond Miller and Maejean McKelvey are still living and maybe Ellen Dee (who is very elderly and suffering from Alzheimer's) and Frank.
